Nestled just outside a small South Louisiana town, Leauxcal Grub LLC is the manufacturing home of Primal Bayou, a family-owned company founded by accomplished chef Molly Clayton and her husband, Joey. Their fully licensed commercial kitchen sits on a 15-acre family farm in the heart of Acadiana.

For more than a decade, Molly has prepared highly specialized meals for clients across South Louisiana. But one client reshaped the way her own family cooked and it changed her business forever. When her daughter was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease at just three years old, Molly began creating meals free from gluten and dairy to support her daughter’s new way of life.

That journey led to the creation of Primal Bayou’s first pantry product: a paleo-friendly Cajun roux made without the gluten and seed oils found in many traditional jarred roux. It quickly became a customer favorite, bringing cleaner ingredients and true Cajun flavor together in one convenient product.

Since then, Molly has spent years perfecting classic Cajun staples with a focus on simple, recognizable ingredients and authentic flavor. Crafted in the heart of Acadiana, Primal Bayou helps families enjoy the comfort of traditional Louisiana cooking—without compromising the way they choose to eat.
